We live in a busy world full of stress, processed foods, lacking vital macronutrients, minerals, vitamins and sooner or later this affects our body composition. Some of us find time for burning those extra calories while some don't. In this article we will examine three potent active ingredients which will affect positively the fat metabolism and boost your performance not only in the gym, but through your day. Every one of them has tons of research behind them and is popular all over the world. You will easily find them in the formulas of one the best selling fat burner complexes although in scarce quantities. Here are few of them which can be used together or standalone.

1.Synephrine

Synephrineis a compound with beta-agonist properties similar to the ephedrine. It can be found in high levels in the bitter orange (citrus aurantium) which is the primary source of synephrine containing products. Synephrine will increase the metabolism, accelerate the lipolysis and basal metabolic rate. It also affects the A1 and A2 receptors which makes it one of the best herbal analogues of stronger and dangerous alkaloids as ephedrine. It has light thermogenic properties. There are human studies which show that it can increase the metabolic rate with approximately 80 kcals burned for 75 minutes of training.

Secondary use: Synephrine has excellent appetite suppressing properties.

How to dose it: As a fat loss and appetite control aid we do recommend 20 mg after you wake up and 40 mg 15-30 minutes before physical activity.

2.Yohimbine

Yohimbine is found naturally mainly as an alkaloid in the yohimbe tree (Pausinystalia yohimbe) as well in all the plants from Rauwolfia family. This potent alkaloid acts upon the adrenergic receptor system of fat cells responsible for regulating the thermogenesis. Again as the synephrine affects positively the metabolic rate via different metabolic pathways mainly inhibiting or activating current enzymes in the body. Targeting the waistline fat which the most stubborn is also something specific for this ingredient. Yohimbine is one of the few ingredients in fat burners which does affect negatively the sleep.

Secondary use: The difference between caffeine based stimulants and agents and yohimbine is mainly that it doesn't act as vasoconstriction properties as most of the products on the market have, but vasodilatation. Which means it doesn’t constrict the blood flow , but does the opposite bringing more blood the vessels and limbs. That’s why you will find it in many pro erectile and aphrodisiac products. It does make erectile function and sexual performance better and there is a lot of science and research to back that up. Synergistic effects are noted if combined with L-arginine.

Good to know: The use of Yohimbine or Yohimbe bark products should be done in fasted state or at least between meals. This way it will be way more effective.

How to dose it: 2.5 mgs after you wake up and 7.5 mg before training is more than enough especially if you are going to use it with something else. If you are going to use Yohimbe bark extract standardized for Yohimbine we do suggest 1 gram before physical activity.

3.Camelia sinensis extract

Have you ever heard about Camellia sinensis ? We are not talking about a medieval princess name, nor a famous painting. Camellia sinensis is an evergreen plant cultivated from centuries for its variety of properties. Today its more popular as Green Tea. Why do you think it’s something special, unique and deserves such a graceful name? Because it has the full package. It’s a potent antioxidant, diuretic, metabolism accelerator, natural source of caffeine which affects the tonus and alertness and more. The thermogenic properties of the leaf extract are mild but again welcomed if you are going to fight the stubborn body fat. Green tea will take out the excess water often thought for fat, it will bring the mood for training and will stack up perfectly with the active ingredients mentioned above.

Secondary use: We think that this is the strongest side of the green tea and maybe this defies why it has the full package. It is cardio protective, neuroprotective, anti-obesity as mentioned above, anti-carcinogenic, anti-diabetic, anti-artherogenic, liver protective and beneficial for blood vessel health. Beneficial effects as these are seen in different doses both in green tea itself as a drink as well as from a supplement form as high catechin extracts.

How to dose it: 500 mg in the morning and another 1000 mg 30 minutes before physical activity.
